Welcome to Florida

As most of you already know, I've relocated to sunny Florida. So far, it's been great. Warm weather, fairly nice people and so far I like my new job. I decided to take a walk in front of my new apartment complex. Unpacking was getting a little too much, so I thought getting some fresh air would be a good idea.

There are a few ponds in front of the property with nice walking paths. Walking down one of them, I ran into this sign:

Very funny! Yeah right. This must be some sort of mandatory sign that Florida requires be posted near bodies of water over a certain size. I moved closer to the water and saw this:

After I nearly soiled myself, I went back to the apartment. Wait, maybe I did soil myself. I guess what I'm trying to say is: THERE ARE FREAKING ALLIGATORS IN MY FRONT YARD!

Until next post . . . .

Sleestaks are cool

That's right. Sleestaks are cool. I've provided a picture of some Sleestaks so you can see what they look like.

When I first found this picture, I thought it looked like a Sleestak rock band. That made it even cooler.

I like Sleestaks so much, I thought of buying the domain sleestaks.com. But someone beat me to it.

Maybe I shouldn't be too sad. So far I haven't found a website dedicated to Chaka.

A little bit of weird Milwaukee

Sometimes you can find some really weird stuff in the city just wandering around.

It was one of those lunch time walks to kill time. I turn a corner to find huge, orange question marks with some sort of orange storage containers behind them.

Gotta love that modern art in Milwaukee.

Starting Over

I haven't really gotten much out of my Blogger account. I haven't updated anything much told anyone about it. So I'm starting over. I've redirected my domain front page to point here . . . so if you run into this . . . . leave a comment!

More to come from Mil-town.

That Mid-West hospitality

My old world and new world clashed the other day. That doesn't happen much in Milwaukee. There just aren't many things Japanese here. I saw two Japanese girls line up ahead of me in Subway. They couldn't read the sign that said no debit or credit cards accepted . . . . . the manager of the store just gave them the sandwiches . . .

I decided to not to speak Japanese when I offered to pay for the sandwiches outside. They didn't accept, but just asked to be directed to the nearest ATM. It was weird. I felt like a secret agent or something . . . "if they only knew my secret! BWAHAHAHAHA!".

Score one goodie point for the Cheese people.
